Matthew Speed

Matthew Speed is a Financial Advisor with James E. Bashaw & Co. He graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Economics. In his decade tenure as an advisor Matthew specializes in personal financial planning with a focus on working with families to provide financial independence. He especially enjoys helping people to understand the complexities of financial topics in down to earth terms they can understand.

Matthew has been married to Dorian Speed almost 25 years with three children; two in college and one in high school and enjoys time outside work with them and the family labradoodle Oberon. Matthew enjoys taking his kids to fish and catch crabs on the Texas coast, making food on a Big Green Egg and playing trombone, guitar and piano when time permits.
